I have been browsing Indeed looking for any potential graphic design vacancies coming up, and also to get a general idea of different studios/agencies local to me in Wakefield.
I came across a job post at Spectrum Community Health, which is a sexual health clinic about 10 minutes away from where I live.
They had advertised a graphic design post at their headquarters, and it sounded ideal for me. The role included producing promotional material, flyers, social media, website bits etc, which was all relevant to my own practice.
I decided to email about the job with a proposal - the idea behind this was I wanted to go in and do some work experience with them, in the hopes that they would then potentially offer me the job or invite me to return after my studies (if I was lucky!).
Email I sent;

The job advert mentioned how they wanted someone who was passionate about the NHS, which was handy as I have actually worked at my local hospital for the last four years, so I made sure to mention this in my email.
I mentioned how I was finishing university in May as well, just so it was out there that I was soon to be available.
I received a response the next day from a woman on the PR team;

I am now waiting to hear back from them hopefully as soon as possible!
