I have heard back from the Head of Marketing at Spectrum;
She stated that work experience is something she can sort out! She asked for my CV and portfolio, and then said if she sees fit I will then have an interview with her.
I am slightly confused about this because it sounds more like a job interview? To ask for CV, portfolio AND an interview for work experience sounds quite complex to me.
Nevertheless, I sent her my CV and portfolio, which I tailored for the nature of the job;
2 weeks later, I still had not heard anything back from her. I didn't want to be annoying, but was also keen to set up the work experience, so I sent her a quick follow-up email';
The next day, she finally replied to me;
She asked me what they key Adobe products are that I use, and my level of proficiency with them. I was confused by this as I had stated this in my CV - and also having looked at my portfolio, I'm sure she would be able to tell how proficient I am using the software..
Regardless, I replied telling her I was fairly experienced with the software (I didn't want to make out like I was an expert, but also still proficient);
The next day, she got back to me telling me it would be next week by the time I heard from her again;
I sent her a quick polite response;
I am now waiting to hear back from her!
